Tell Me Lies: Is Baird College Real?

The first three episodes of Tell Me Lies are now streaming on Hulu. This gripping drama, based on the novel by Carola Lovering, dives into the toxic love affair between Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco. Their relationship began when Lucy entered her first year at Baird College, while Stephen was in his junior year.

Audiences have been captivated by the characters’ social and academic lives on campus. Like many other film and TV productions, there’s been curiosity about whether the real locations were used in the show.

As reported by The Cinemaholic, Tell Me Lies was filmed in the southern U.S., mainly around the Atlanta metro area.

This naturally leads to the question: is Baird College a real institution?
Unfortunately, it isn’t. Baird College opened in 1885 and functioned for over a decade in Clinton, Missouri, before it closed its doors. It was an all-women’s college.

The campus seen on screen is actually Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, a private liberal arts college for women. However, the show presents it as a co-ed institution.

Expect all ten episodes of Tell Me Lies to be available on Hulu in the upcoming weeks.
